A Wife's Secret to Happiness Week 4 Chapter 4 - Encouragement

Hey there friends I'm glad you came over to my blog for your weekly encouragement.

This week our verse is 1 Peter 3:6

Here is the video for encouragement.

In the video I just simply encourage you to go through the "Working through Relationship Winters" worksheet. You will find Jared's (Jen's husband) perspective as well as Jen's perspective.

Relationship winters are hard! And if one or both of you decide that you had rather give up than find out the cause of the problem it can bring about the end of your marriage.

Sweet sister's I hope that you will stick it out and work it out with your husband.

So come on.....let's put on our coat, hat, scarf, gloves, and maybe even our pair of snow boots and get to work digging into God's word to get out of that relationship winter!

I also said that today was my husband Darren and my 25th wedding anniversary. So I just wanted to show you something that he made for me.

This is an actual Fly that he tied for me. I haven't seen it in person yet but I can't wait to.

See it is able to be used (I'm not going to) to fish with, complete with hook and all.

If you have missed any of the encouragement videos and blog postes I will link them below.

Week Four you are Here.

I hope you have a very blessed week.
See you soon,

A Wife's Secret to Happiness Week 3 Chapter 3 - Encouragement

Hey Friends,

So glad you stopped by for weekly encouragement.
This week we are in Chapter Three in A Wife's Secret to Happiness.
The title of this chapter is: The Blessing of Unity

The verse of the week.

"For I too am a {woman} man under authority"....Matthew 8:9

As I talk about our verse of the week in the video below I ask you to read more about it in the bible. You might want to read the Centurion's whole story and not just this one sentence. Read Matthew 8:5-13

Here is the Video for this week.

This one is very short and there is a reason for that friends. I would like for you to go over to Heidi St. John's website and listen to two podcasts.
I know what you are thinking "I really don't have time for that" friends I get it we are all busy. Hand Raised "Me Too" But, I listen while washing dishes and folding laundry and sweeping and moping floors. You can download it to your phone or ipod and pop your ear buds in and away you go cleaning and taking care of business. If you are lucky like me and have a husband that buys you a car with Apple Car play you can listen while driving too. If you have an android device I think you can download the "Stitcher" app and listen just like us apple users. If however you don't want to do any of those you can listen straight from Heidi's website. Here are the direct links to the two episodes.

I hope you have time to listen. If not maybe another time then.

I will see you Thursday night October 5th at 5:30p.m. at the clubhouse.

I hope you have a great week.
Love you and I will see you soon friends,

A Wife's Secret to Happiness Week 2 Chapter 2 - Encouragement

Hey There Friends,

I'm glad you stopped by for some encouragement. This is for week two of bible study, if you missed week one's encouragement video you can find it Here

In the video I talk about our verse of the week Ephesians 5:25. Pictured above is the scripture card I gave out in class this week to help you with this weeks verse. This happens to be mine hanging out on my desk in my pen/pencil jar.

Here is the video I hope this helps

Here is a link to explain who Matthew Henry is. You can click HERE to get to his complete commentary.

I want you to know that I use a Study Bible and that is where I get a lot of my information. It helps me to not only understand who wrote the book of the bible I am reading from but, also why they wrote it and who it was addressed to. The current bible I am using is this one. Now, this bible is Hardback and LARGE print. (very thick and heavy) I don't take it to bible study classes much. You can buy this bible in the Olive Tree app. I also have other study bibles I use and just regular bibles as well.
If you would like for me to write another post on what Printed Bibles as well as Digital Bibles I use I would be happy to do that. Just leave a comment in the comments section below if you would like to know.

Remember we are #wifestylin so is your Wifestyle Short or Venti?

Don't worry we can work to have a better Wifestyle as we learn and grow together!

Some of you asked about the podcast I mentioned at our last class so I wrote up a blog post outlining my favorites and some that I pick and choose what I listen to. (complete with links) If you missed that post you can find it Here

I have enjoyed our bible study class and getting to know all of you.
I hope you have a great rest of your week.

By the way I do listen to other podcastes the "just for fun" ones. But they all have to do with crafting, sewing or scrapbooking so I will forgo listing them here.

You can listen to these podcasts directly from their respective webpages or you can download them onto your device like I do. I hope some of these podcasts give you inspiration or answer some unanswered question you might have on a particular topic.

One last thing.

This is a Photo of a illustration I was going to show you in class on Thursday but I was talking way too much and we ran out of time. Our verse last week Ecclesiastes 4:12b It is a great example of "Frayed" verses "Braided" wifestyles that Jen talked about in the book. This visual helped me a lot!

I hope you have a great week and I hope to see you soon.
