A Wife's Secret to Happiness Week 2 Chapter 2 - Encouragement

Hey There Friends,

I'm glad you stopped by for some encouragement. This is for week two of bible study, if you missed week one's encouragement video you can find it Here

In the video I talk about our verse of the week Ephesians 5:25. Pictured above is the scripture card I gave out in class this week to help you with this weeks verse. This happens to be mine hanging out on my desk in my pen/pencil jar.

Here is the video I hope this helps

Here is a link to explain who Matthew Henry is. You can click HERE to get to his complete commentary.

I want you to know that I use a Study Bible and that is where I get a lot of my information. It helps me to not only understand who wrote the book of the bible I am reading from but, also why they wrote it and who it was addressed to. The current bible I am using is this one. Now, this bible is Hardback and LARGE print. (very thick and heavy) I don't take it to bible study classes much. You can buy this bible in the Olive Tree app. I also have other study bibles I use and just regular bibles as well.
If you would like for me to write another post on what Printed Bibles as well as Digital Bibles I use I would be happy to do that. Just leave a comment in the comments section below if you would like to know.

Remember we are #wifestylin so is your Wifestyle Short or Venti?

Don't worry we can work to have a better Wifestyle as we learn and grow together!

Some of you asked about the podcast I mentioned at our last class so I wrote up a blog post outlining my favorites and some that I pick and choose what I listen to. (complete with links) If you missed that post you can find it Here

I have enjoyed our bible study class and getting to know all of you.
I hope you have a great rest of your week.

Encouragement Via a Podcast

Hey there, I'm glad you stopped by.

I really enjoyed our Bible Study Class on Thursday night. From what I can tell by the comments I have received you seem to have enjoyed yourself too!

I thought I would write up a post on some of the Podcasts that I listen to so you all can see if you would like to listen too. So here we go!

Anddddddd new "kid" on the podcasting block is:

Angie's website is Here
Angie chats with a special guest for about an hour, and hears how God has made a difference in their stories.

By the way I do listen to other podcastes the "just for fun" ones. But they all have to do with crafting, sewing or scrapbooking so I will forgo listing them here.

You can listen to these podcasts directly from their respective webpages or you can download them onto your device like I do. I hope some of these podcasts give you inspiration or answer some unanswered question you might have on a particular topic.

One last thing.

This is a Photo of a illustration I was going to show you in class on Thursday but I was talking way too much and we ran out of time. Our verse last week Ecclesiastes 4:12b It is a great example of "Frayed" verses "Braided" wifestyles that Jen talked about in the book. This visual helped me a lot!

I hope you have a great week and I hope to see you soon.

A Wife's Secret to Happiness Week 1 Chapter 1 - Encouragement

First let me say it has been a very long time sense I have used my blog. But, hey if I can write to you and encourage you through my old blog I'll give it a go. (please forgive me some of the information on here is out dated I will do my best to update it soon)

I know some of you were unable to make it on Sept. 14 to pick up your book. That is O.K.
There is still time to get a book and study guide and just start. That's right friends sometimes we have to just start. We start and let God lead.

Hang in here with me.....
God would have us do our best at anything we do but when it comes to bible study I have learned over the years no matter how tired I am or how much I feel like "I can't possibly do one more thing." God will speak to you through the pages of his word and someone in a class.
I have been in bible study classes before where I thought "What could I possibly learn from this!" Then a few days later and sometimes not that long BAM it hits you like a ton of bricks and the Lord is speaking directly to you through the bible verse you are studying, the book you are using, or someone in class says something and you think "God is speaking to me through them"
Yes, yes and yes sweet sister I have had it happen to me!

That is why I'm writing this today to you. I don't want you to miss out on the refreshment you can get from studying God's word with your fellow sisters in Christ.

Our next Bible Study Class will be September 21, 2017 try to arrive between 5:30-6:00pm
(if you can't get there by then get there when you can, but we will start as soon as we can)
We are meeting at the Chipley Hellfighters Clubhouse: 884 Usery Road, Chipley
Be ready to discuss Chapter One in the book as well as study guide material.
Our verse for this week is:

Here is the video I promised. (please disregard all the um's I did this in one take)

If you are coming to my blog and have no idea what I am talking about here are some basics.

The Bible Study we are using is by: Jen Weaver

I hope you have a great week my sweet sister!
