Scrappy Log Cabin Table Topper

I made a Scrappy Log Cabin table topper recently so I thought I would share it with you.

There was a Scrappy Log Cabin Quilt Along going at one time over on instagram and I decided to take part.

Just a note here most of the fabrics I used in the table topper were not my scraps. I purchased them from Sew Deerly Loved on Etsy.

So here we go.

Things started out o.k. but if you look close you can see that some of the "colored" logs ended short and some ended long. So I tried to fix them.

This looks better now ending with the colored logs on the long side.

I first tried colored sashing but it just made everything just run together.

So now I added the lighter sashing but.......OH NO how did I miss THAT! I guess I was so excited about how the new lighter sashing looked that I missed it.

This needs no explanation I think we have all been here at one point in time.

So I got it put back together Not perfect but it is together now. I just Love these colors!

Time to quilt it. I just decided to go simple.

I said simple! I just did some diagonal lines in the center, outlined the inner boarder and did free motion quilting in the outer boarder.

This is just a simple little table topper for me. Yay! I usually don't keep any of my creations but these are my favorite colors

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my table topper.

If you would like to see more of the process of this table topper as well as all the Scrappy Log Cabin Quilt Along Projects head on over to instagram and search the hashtag #scrappylogcabinqal
