Hi Friends!

I have a new quilt that is finished but I had some wonderful help finishing it. You can read the first post about the top HERE
Here we are:
I know I have not been here very much and all I can say is I have been busy.
I have a new quilt that is finished but I had some wonderful help finishing it. You can read the first post about the top HERE
Here we are:
It was nice and sunny today so I could go out and take pictures.
This is a King size so I just put bleached muslin on the back.
I will make a new bed skirt using a tutorial I found on Pintrest.
As I said my Mom quilted it for me. She did a fantastic job. She did a simple X pattern across the quilt and then a meandering pattern on the boarder.
This is a summer quilt so I just put bleached muslin on the back. I used two jelly rolls for the front. This pattern is called Summer in the Park. You can see it HERE
In honor of getting this quilt finished I am having a giveaway here on my blog.
This is a book and ruler I bought about a year ago to make another sampler quilt but using jelly rolls. Well it has sat on my shelf and has yet to be used. I have decided to clean out some things I think I will never use. So this is one of them. You get this book and ruler together.
So THE RULES:
This giveaway will run one week. Ending (3/9/14)
1. You must be a follower of my blog.
It's easy to follow. You can follow me via: Google+, Bloglovin, Feedspot, Feedly

Sorry due to rising postal costs I can't ship outside the continental US.
Make sure I can get in touch with you via your post that you leave for me. I will notify the winner via email.
Have fun and remember to tell me what your favorite quilt block to make is.

ReplyDeleteLove your quilt...I never thought to just put muslin on the back. Thanks for the inspiration. My favorite block I made was called Blue Plate Special. I was needing to start a new quilt and looked at some patterns I bought years ago. Blue Plate Special was in that group. When I bought it I couldn't make out how to do it but the experience I gained since then helped me understand exactly how to do it. here is a link to it on my pinterest page http://www.pinterest.com/pin/214202526001149267/
